Kit
B'Smith
kitbsmith@wscoc.org
Kit began serving as a shepherd of Westside in 2008. Kit’s
hometown is Miami, Florida. He was baptized into Christ in
November, 1972, at the Miami Gardens church of Christ after
listening to the gospel being preached by Richard Rogers, from
Lubbock, Texas. He met Carolyn Lynette Rose of Pulaski, TN,
while attending David Lipscomb University. They were married in
1979. Kit and Carolyn have two children, Leah and Andy. Kit had
the pleasure of baptizing both his children into Christ.
Kit and Carolyn are educators. Kit currently serves as an
administrator in the Round Rock ISD and Carolyn is currently
teaching 3rd grade at Brentwood Christian School. They live in
Austin, TX.
Kit and Carolyn believe strongly in the power of the gospel
promise that Jesus is “…the Way, the Truth, and the Life…” They
find both humility and strength in God’s redemptive work in
Christ. They know of no greater love that has ever been
demonstrated for mankind than when God gave His One and Only Son
as the atoning sacrifice for their sins and the sins of the
world. They firmly believe that God’s Word is not only relevant
for today’s world, but that its power can still penetrate the
problem of sin and the darkness of man’s sinfulness to transform
our hearts, minds, and lives. They know that the scriptures
reflect the wisdom of God, His righteousness, holiness, and
truth. Their hope is that others can share in the blessings of
God’s grace and mercy through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Floyd Odom
floydodom@wscoc.orgFloyd and his wife Madge were married in Tennessee on June 26, 1967. Both attended Abilene Christian University, as well as their two children, David and Allison. As a teenager, Floyd became a Christian. He served as a deacon in the Church at two separate congregations before coming to the Westside Church of Christ, where he has served as an elder. He has seen the Westside Church of Christ grow from approximately 100 Christians without a permanent facility to what it is today. In addition to his serving as an elder in the Church, Floyd was employed as an educator and administrator in the Austin Independent School District for over 40 years. He firmly believes that we are to glorify God "in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end." As one studies the scriptures, it is increasingly clear that the Church of Jesus Christ has an identity in the New Testament. It is our duty as believers and Christians to follow the established pattern. As Paul declared in 1 Corinthians, "For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ." At the Westside Church of Christ, we are committed to preserving the identity of the New Testament Church.
Bob Bledsoe
bobbledsoe@wscoc.orgBob was born in Odessa, TX but grew up in Lubbock, TX. He was baptized in November 1966. He married Sandra Dycus in August 1967 after serving four years in the Air Force at Abilene, TX. He worked for Western Electric Co. (AT&T) in Lubbock until they were transferred to Round Rock, TX in 1973. Bob retired in 1999 after 33 years with AT&T. Sandy retired from teaching after 31 years and still substitutes from time to time. Bob has served as a deacon and as an elder. He has two faithful children and four grandchildren. Bob believes the Bible is the pattern God has given us to live by. We worship the Lord as set down in the New Testament and reject man made creeds. He believes Jesus is the son of God and that God adds us to the church at baptism.

Ferman Carpenter
fermancarpenter@wscoc.org
Even though he enjoyed the business world, Ferman was also involved in preaching, teaching and conducting Bible Studies wherever he went. So after several years in business the Weber Road Church of Christ in Corpus Christi , Texas invited Ferman and Jean to come and be their Involvement Minister. Ferman loves evangelism and he takes seriously the Great Commission spoken by Christ in Matthew 28:18-20. He came to the Westside church in Round Rock, January 2007, after spending almost 10 years with the Westhill Church of Christ in Corsicana , Texas , where they baptized over 300 people. He has also served as a minister in Seagoville , Texas ; Pine Bluff , Arkansas ; and Corpus Christi , Texas . Ferman has been married to Jean Lynch Carpenter since 1976. They are blessed with two daughters, Bonnie Carpenter and Nancy Miller.

Larry
Crookslarrycrooks@wscoc.org
Larry and his wife Judy were born and raised in Austin, TX. They married in 1978, and have a daughter and son-in-law, Jeff & Kimberly Francis, and a son, Adam who are also members at Westside. The Crooks family began worshiping at Westside in 1996. Larry retired from TxDOT in 2007 after a 34 year career.
Larry believes, the church at Westside belongs to Christ of which He is the head, and it is our responsibility to provide an environment by which everyone's faith is perfected; this is done by energetically promoting relationships through mentoring, nurturing, and fellowship where there is genuine involvement in each others lives. We should be a close-knit family where every person is welcome and members are enthusiastically utilizing their gifts, seeking the lost, committed to prayer and Bible study, and equipping each other for service.
